Description
The Peninsula is accessed from Peninsula Road. You can drive right up to the top of the road and do a circle of about 13Kms which brings you back to about where you started. If you are prepared to do a 13 Km walk you will travel through some of the most beautiful countryside/farmland and meet lots of cattle along the way. About halfway you will see majestic hills on one side and glimpses of the Blackwood River on the other. The best times of day are sunrise and sunset. In the winter the hills and countryside are a beautiful bright green, in summer the golden yellow that you see here. Early morning in winter will be different again with a beautiful mist to enhance the magical qualities of this area.
