Great photography. I love these off beat images of thing I know nothing about. ? How big are the silk artworks. I grew up in a household/family of non smokers so no very little about cigarette cards.

Elaine Teague replied:

I can't find my originals. I put them in too safe a place, but this is the info I got from https://kensitasflowers.co.uk/sizes.htm. SMALL - Given away with 10 cigarettes and made to fit inside the packet, measuring 4cm. wide and 6.75 cm. high MEDIUM - Given away with 20 cigarettes again fitting inside the packet and measuring 5.5 cm. wide and 7.5 cm. high. As albums were available to insert the printed fabric I guess they were intended as collectables like many images on card that were given away in cigarette packets.

Wow! I have never heard of that, Elaine. So each piece was hand made! Lovely little treasure, albeit from a cigarette box. :) l.f.

Elaine Teague replied:

There's a few around in people's collections. I have four different ones. They must've been machine embroidered because there were so many of them.
