Description
Erythrina variegata, commonly known as tiger's claw[2] or Indian coral tree,[3] is a species of Erythrina native to the tropical and subtropical regions of eastern Africa, the Indian subcontinent, northern Australia, and the islands of the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean east to Fiji. I took this image in Yanchep, Western Australia.

Beautiful flowers, and well presented. They're probably poisonous. The species that grows in Arizona (has very similar flowers) is definitely poisonous. There is a spiritual lesson in that. Not everything that is beautiful is good for you.
Elaine Teague replied:
Thank you Pat for the info. I certainly won't be eating any part of this tree and definitely not the flowers.
