Description
Built in 1869 into the base of Mount Clarence from granite and other local materials, Spectrum Theatre has occupied the lower level of the old Albany Post Office since 1980 and is said to have a resident ghost called Fred. Apparently Fred was a convict who was bricked in somehow when the theatre was constructed. Fred is known as a passive presence in the theatre and is often held responsible for making floorboards creak.
