Description
Salvia is the largest genus of plants in the sage family Lamiaceae, with nearly 1000 species of shrubs, herbaceous perennials, and annuals. Within the Lamiaceae, Salvia is part of the tribe Mentheae within the subfamily Nepetoideae.
Supercute little sage with half-and-half flowers, white above, red below, though some may be all red or all white as a surprise. Each flower is small but this shrubby perennial pumps them out through the warmer months until first frosts.
