Description
Taken at Monet's House and Garden in Giverny, France
Monet's house was of enormous interest and the exterior consisted of several of these shuttered windows. Monet rented the house initially, but later purchased it and landscaped the grounds. He lived there from 1883 to 1926. As his extended family grew (he was married twice) so did the house to accommodate the two children from his first marriage and then his second wife’s six children.
