Description
This building was erected in 1866-67 by the early settlers 4 years after their arrival. It served as a church school and public meeting place. As the Matakohe Non Denominational church it was used mainly by Anglicans and Methodists. Moved to the present site in 1950 to make way for the cemetery renovations associated with the Coates Memorial Church and now used as Sunday School, Church Hall and meeting room.
