Artist's Description
The Granny Smith is a tip-bearing apple cultivar, which originated in Australia in 1868. It is named after Maria Ann Smith, who propagated the cultivar from a chance seedling. The tree is thought to be a hybrid of Malus sylvestris, the European wild apple, with the domesticated apple Malus pumila as the polleniser.

Congratulations, I like the composition, the good taste, only two colors so elegant, only two colors that express harmony and then that green, that shade of green is very young ... surely those apples are also very good, someone makes us marmalade?
Elaine Teague replied:
Thank you so much for your kind words Walter. These apples are often used for cooking in Australia as we don't grow the big cooking apples here like the ones grown in Europe.
