The Batavia Coast Marina in Geraldton consists of 84 floating pens, service jetty with low landing, boat launching ramps, toilets, boardwalk and fishing platform. This traditional Dutch vessel is a replica of the longboat used by Francisco Pelsaert and 47 others to sail in June 1679 from the wreck of the Batavia in the Abrolhos Islands to Jakarta in Indonesia, a voyage of 1500 nautical miles. © Copyright Elaine Teague all rights reserved.
