Description
Taken at the start of the 6 Km Dove Lake circuit in Cradle Mountain-Lake Claire National Park. This track is mostly boardwalk and circles Dove Lake. It took us about 4 hours to walk the track, some parts of which are quite rocky where the boardwalk peters out in places. The boat shed stands on the northwestern shores of Lake Dove and was built mostly of King Billy pine in 1940 by the first Ranger at Cradle Mountain, Lionell Connell. It has had little restoration and is substantially unaltered.
